“Tony Bennett says that he and Lady Gaga will finally record their Jazz Album this June, close to two years after they first teamed up for Bennett’s Duets II. “We’re working on [the album] from now until June, and then we’ll record in June. She’s phenomenal,” Bennett said to Rolling Stone.”

The company controlling the Empire State Building has announced that a majority of its investors has approved a proposal to make the iconic building into a real estate investment trust or REIT. The plan is once the REIT has been established, its shares would be publicly traded.

According to Malkin Holding LLC, ninety percent of the two thirds of investors in the company have voted in favor of the plan to make the Empire State Building the central piece of an eighteen property REIT to be named Empire State Realty Trust Inc. The other investors will have a deadline of March 25 to vote on the conversion according to an application filed with the US SEC.

“Watching the final minutes of Harvard’s historic NCAA men’s basket ball tournament win on ESPN International, Staples founder Tom Stemberg was gripped with anxiety.

First, he worried that 14th-seeded Harvard would suffer a late-game collapse. Then, with a 68-62 victory over third-seeded New Mexico secure, the Harvard alumnus and diehard fan worried about missing the team’s second-round game.

Traveling in Australia on business, Stemberg celebrated by e-mail ing family and travel agents, trying desperately to book a return trip from Sydney to Salt Lake City in time for Saturday’s 6:10 p.m. (EDT) tipoff against Arizona.

“If I thought they were going to the NCAA Tournament, I would not have agreed to be at a board meeting in Australia when the tournament started,” Stemberg said. “That’s how surprised I am. I’ve been following this team for 40 years, and it’s incredible. I’m still tingling.”….”

After the game, the gentlemen of Harvard celebrated by creating a database driven application that measures crowd responsiveness and it’s impact on recruitment and endowments from notable alumni.  Just kidding just kidding…

Weezy released this video on TMZ thanking his fans and supporters for their prayers and well wishes.  He’s doing fine and his album will be released on March 26th.

That’s the wild new promise of a major breakthrough in 3D printing, which seeks to enlist human embryonic stem cells to produce malleable clumps of tissue.

Normally, 3D printers put together objects layer-by-layer using plastic, metal, and other materials. Space researchers want to use it to build a base on a moon, companies like MakerBot let you print out plastic toys at home, and some people have (controversially) figured out how to use 3D printers to build their own handgun parts.

According to Popular Science, this new biomedical technique would use human embryonic stem cells floating in a chemical “bio-ink.” These cells have the unique ability to be coaxed into any other type of tissue in body — heart cells, liver cells, bones, you name it.

The problem, until now, was that these specific type of stem cells were incredibly delicate. So delicate, in fact, that funneling them through a nozzle to form tissue clumps often left the cells dead. But researchers at Heriot-Watt University in Scotland found that by using the precision of a 3D printer, researchers could gently arrange the cells into spheroids and overlay them with bio-ink. They found that this process left close to 90 percent of the human embryionic stem cells alive after three days. Repeat this process enough times, and you could, in theory, begin to build any kind of body part imaginable.” Source
